Social Media Assistants: A small but GROWING market. Want in?

I honestly can’t think of a more exciting thing to hear.  A niche market that is small but growing.  This means 2 things: 1- there is an increasing demand for the product or service 2- the market still has an even playing field (i.e. the 800 pound Gorilla isn’t in the room yet).

In the end this means that there is some serious money to be made.

What market am I referring to? Social media virtual assistants of course.

Until now, the role of a virtual assistant has been confined to running ‘online errands’. This refers to things like; buying plane tickets, online shopping, etc.  As the market grows, the role of the virtual assistant is changing.  Virtual assistants are getting much more specified in the services they offer.

That’s why I’m talking about Social Media Assistants.  There is an increasing number of them out there.

I think some people are a bit skeptical about having a Social Media Assistant.  Social media is all about getting personal right? So how can someone be personal if they’re not the person running their social media account?

Think of it like this.  You need an assistant in your everyday life to do the piddly things that you just don’t have time for.  Why?  Because you want to have time for the important things like dinner with your family and helping your kids with their homework.

Social Media fits the same need.  What people don’t have time for is accepting all the friend requests, replying to basic questions, designing a custom background, and even getting rid of some unwanted friends.  Why?  Because they want to be able to focus on the important things like writing personal tweets and answering the difficult questions.

As Social Media grows, we get more social friends and less time to take care of them.

Would you be willing to hire a social media assistant? Better yet, if you were a Social Media Assistant what qualities do you have that would set up apart from the rest?  Comment Below.

  2. Hey Ryan, I just bought the Let’s Get Social program this morning. I’m pretty excited to get into it and start the training. What’s really great is that social media is fun for me, I “get it”, and I’ve always loved the idea of social media. Throw in the fact that I need some extra income right now and BAM! it was an easy choice, especially since it was such a great value. Thanks and be sure to tell Kate I said thanks too!
