Selling products on ClickBank?

Marketing Tips

clickbank

I used to do a lot of stuff with ClickBank, but admittedly I’ve ignored it over the past few years. Now I realize I’ve probably been leaving a lot of money on the table, and I’d like to correct that by puting some of my niche products in ClickBank.

I know there are 50-million products about making money as a ClickBank affiliate, but frankly I ain’t interested in that.

I want to know about good products that deal with selling products in ClickBank as a Merchant/Publisher.

If you know of a good product on this subject, please comment below.

NOTE: Please refrain from using affiliate links. I know it’s tempting, but I don’t want this blog to turn into a spam portal. Comments are moderated so there’s no point in even trying.

    Ryan,

    http://www.cbpayday.com/

Had some good / great ideas. Nothing earth-shattering, but some great little “tweaks” that can make a difference. Haven’t heard them anywhere else.

    Hey Ryan!

Love your stuff and I love CB. I live in Boise, so they are hometown heroes. I am finishing out my own CB niche product and I am having the same dilemma.

Jason over at Creative Digital Media sent out a video to their list recently about looking for JV partners to create/market CB products. Maybe they have something going on.

I also know the guys that own and operate CBEngine.com over here in Boise. I can ask those guys and see if they know anything like you are talking about.

My product enables people to have a clickbank marketing site up and running quickly without doing any html coding. Also tracks click events and rotates ads. Originally wrote the software for the SIMPLE program in StomperNet.

    Hi Ryan,
Im not sure why you want a product regarding CLickbank as opposed to certain or particular tactics strategies that may differ as a result of using Clickbank instead of a different third party merchant account.
I had the top selling Bodybuilding course in the HEalth And Fitness Category ( very competitive ) on CLickbank from 2003-2005 Underground Mass Secrets. I am featured in Yanik Silvers new book “Moonlighting On The Internet” pages 120-121. I was also asked to be a speaker at Yaniks” Information Marketer Players Workshop.” I would say the best product I have for CLickbank marketing was Steve pirces Truth about MArketing on The internet. It is based on Clickbank marketing strategies

    Check out Warrior forum.
I found one there (I think it was the “Badd Ass Reports”). Basically, you build interest through WSO’s by selling your product at a reduced price for the WSO, and then get that traffic to be your affiliates, so when you “go live” everyone makes some serious cash.

I do concentrate on make money and health related info products. Here niche is more important than product. On click bank the products which are easy to promote through bum marketing and PPC can rock the niche.

I had couple of interesting ideas and some though are in pipe line let me know if we came up with some joint venture.

    Hey Ryan,

The product that is currently helping get my ebook on clickbank is “ClickBank Publisher Super Tips” by Harvey Segal. I research for a living, so research and writing are the easy part. Even though I spent 15 years in Sales, writing a sales letter targeted to affiliates and then coming up with a sales letter that converts well for the product is a whole different animal.

I’m also installing easyclickmate to help affiliates if only I could get the ebook on clickbank (need the sales and thank you page first-have bids on elance). My utopia, clickbankpublisher in a box…I’ll either be a beta if you create it or I’ll create it once I get my first product onboard, lol. Site listed is not related to the product. ;)

    Ryan,

About as subtle as a sledge-hammer. Clearly you want to know what guides people find useful and then create one to replace all of them. Should of just asked the proper question instead of going about it this way - maybe then we would have told you what we thought was useful. No need to insult our intelligence.

If you really do need to email your list just to find out what report is most helpful for you then what are we doing on your list then? Maybe you aren’t as smart as your subscribers thought you were.

    Peace

REPLY FROM RYAN: Wow, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning… :)

  11. Adriaan Lee Says:

    Ryan,

Harvey Segal’s has written Clickbank Publisher Supertips. He listed some of the contents at http://www.clickbankguide.com/cvsbook.htm (not an affiliate link)

    I haven’t read it, but I know Harvey’s got a good reputation

I love a challenge and when Ryan Deiss sent an email requesting resources to sell on Clickbank as a merchant, I dropped everything and started the search. I was surprised by the results and did find a good source for 2 hours of video tutorials on “How to Setup a Product to sell through Clickbank”. There is nothing I could find at Amaazon. I read through half a dozen books that looked good. Nada. Anyway I wrote a simple story about the search on my blog.
Thanks for the challenge. Hope it helps. Looking forward to joining one of your mastermind groups…

Justin Harrison has a great report on ClickBank. He was selling it for $67, but now he’s giving it away at http://www.cbsuccessreport.com/home.php

It’s quite technical, and it contains a number of ideas I haven’t seen elsewhere.

    Hi Ryan,

I can email solications every day about the “next best product” for making a fortune on Click Bank.

They all sound great, but hard to tell the good from the bad.

I am definitely interested in finding some truly great products that actually do show you how to make good money with Click Bank.

Looking forward to some good responses from your readers here !!

Confusing post, Ryan. Products about products? I thought Clickbank explained all that stuff in their own pages…

Or are you looking for clever little angles that they don’t share with everyone?

Good luck with your search. Sorry I can’t help.

    Ryan,

You might want to check out Andy Bourland’s ClickBank University … it’s the only ClickBank authorized course I know of.

    Hi,
Here’re 2 products I found to be good regarding business with clickbank:
1-http://www.clickbankuniversity.net/ this a program that’s endorsed by Clickbank itself through their newsletter,.

2-http:fastact.domcb2.hop.clickbank.net/ this is the new video course from Andrew Fox,I’m not a huge fan of Andrew products but this one offers real solid information,I just reviewed it and it’s good, and cost effective in comparison to his previous course “Affiliate X Factor”

    Hey Ryan,

The best product so far that I have used is really good. It teaches you the step by step process of carrying out you click bank campaign. How to find 4-6 products that pass your a “sniff” test. etc..

ps. There is only a few licence available.

  26. JR Finch Says:

Thanks for the email Ryan. This is exactly what I want to start doing myself, well, actually my wife. She is now a stay at home mom and is looking to learn how to do click bank stuff. I am glad I found this website…

    Hi Ryan,

Just getting started with the CD and playbook (workbook) and it requires active promotion. Go to http://www.getsalesconnected.com for basic info. Let me know if you wish to preview. Ideas to market welcome.

  28. X Says:

    Ryan -

Scott Stamper has a product called Clickbank Explosion that has some cool ideas in it - a little off the beaten path, but your style of thinking.

    See you Dallas.

  29. Glen Says:

    Hi Ryan,

There are a few advantages of dealing with CB. From your perspective, the biggest is most likely the large affiliate base that you can tap into. There is strong correlation between success as a product seller and getting to the top of the listings in the CB Marketplace. But to get to the top you need a large percentage of affiliate sales.

With that in mind, here are two superb resources to teach you how to drive your product to the top of its CB marketplace category.

    1. Free report from Mike Hill (he also sells an upgraded version of the report but I have not read it). The free report, combined with your experience and resources should be plenty to get going. You can access the report here: http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=247487

    2. Clickbank Stampede from Scott Stamper (no idea if that is his real name). This paid report delivers a variety of tactics on how to attract and retain CB affiliates. It also has a clever trick (complete with script) to getting your product on the top of the CB marketplace so you get even more affiliates promoting your product. You can get this one here: http://www.cbstampede.com (direct link).

These 2 are complimentary resources. In other words, they both have slightly different strategies for acquiring a large number of CB affiliates. Combine this knowledge with even a half decent product, and you will definitely have another amazing lead generation tool (one that could be tough to turn off even if you tried).

    Peace,

    Glen.

p.s. Why would I share this? Two reasons. First, there is NO competition only undiscovered partners. I lose nothing by sharing this info and every market has room for another competitor who might some day become a JV partner. Second, I have received a lot of value from Ryan (both as a paid subscriber and from the free content he releases) so I think it is my turn to pay some back.

  30. antispyware reviews Says:

    Ryan.

    Interesting topic…
I’ve been in and out of clickbank with some mixed restults…

I think you might (my opinion) want to start looking at products like

    Google nemesis
    Google assassin
    Adwords Miracle
    Commission Blueprint
Make gas out of water (or something along those lines)
Forex markets (there’s quite a few of them)
Antispyware (a favourite of mine, and sorry for the link…couldn’t resist)
Dating - (where do I even begin)?

That’s just the gist of it.

I subscribe to google nemesis and always receive a newsletter with clickbank trends (come to think of it, using the clickbank trends website’s a goldmine) and they keep me updated with up and coming hot sellers.

Another avenue mostly ignored is finding Pay per lead programs off CJ etc…
I’ve become lazy using auto responders and attempting to convert sales…so pay per lead programs have been bridging the gap for me.

    Hope this helps.

    Feelgood.
    (link in name instead!)

  31. Brian Owens Says:

Hi Ryan, you hit the nail on the head. ClickBank is very useful for handling the SLO’s you talk about in both the wholesale traffic system and in Continuity Blueprint. Since the SLO dumps people into your continuity program, CB is fantastic for handling this front end part of the Million Dollar Napkin because of the recurring billing feature, AND because a lot of CB affiliates are starting to search only for products that pay off monthly…

I’m using CB as the front end manager for my main business right now. I’m not a huge fan of many products about having CB products, but I hear that Andrew Fox just came out with Dominating ClickBank 2.0…might be worth a look.

I don’t use ClickBank though for my upsell, and for my big ticket offer.

But if you wanna chat about it sometime I’d be glad to tell you how I use CB personally sometime and maybe mastermind with you on that subject. Feel free to email me and I’ll send you my Skype.

    Grace and Peace

    Brian

  32. Gerard LeBlond Says:

I agree with Pizano and Brian: Fox’s DominatingCB is the way to go. Heck, he even uses an orange background (Add To Cart) button and the button’s text is dark blue just like you suggest to use based on test results.

    http://dominatingcb2.com

You can join up as a Fox Affiliate and see how hot his methods are.

  33. Matt Says:

I have starting promoting the Spanish products and they have been doing very well due to low competition.

  34. Renzo Says:

    Hey Ryan,

My product helps Clickbank merchants to sell products in the Spanish language market. As you maybe know, the Spanish language market is growing very fast. In fact, Clickbank has launched his plataform in Spanish some time ago.

  35. NOMAN YOUSUF Says:

  36. Ryan Star Says:

I have been online since two years now, but still I can’t find a profitable product to promote.I have already spent a lot money by purchasing e-product.

  37. Stephen Beck Says:

The best product on using ClickBank I have run across is 8WeeksToProfits. Weekly action steps that have step-by-step videos on creating and marketing an info product.

Has a killer video on creating a ClickBank account and setting up your product, complete with an opt-in page, sales page and download page templates.

    Hope this helps.

    Stephen Beck

  38. Jay Says:

Basically any product which has a climbing gravity but still around 40 or so before it gets too complicated. It also helps to know a little or have a personal interest in the market you are promoting yourself as they say the best product sellers are product buyers so it helps if you understand the psyche of the potential buyer. I will admit once you start out on CB after you have have made your first 10K I would recommend putting your knowledge into use and becoming a publisher as this is where the real money is.

  39. Ray Says:

Looks like you are publishing something intend to generate some link-traffic..
    good try…
The reason I said so was you are good at Internet products or CB products, I’m sure you know a lot better than us.
Maybe time for you to reveal more..?

REPLY FROM RYAN: You’re reading into things WAAAAAY too much Ray. I know it’s tempting to think that everything I do is a marketing experiment or research of some sort. In this case, I simply had a question and I thought I’d present it to the group.

  40. Monty's Mega Marketing Says:

I guess it depends. Are you NEW to selling products on Clickbank? Or just looking for fine-tuning? You might find this helpful…

    http://www.zeoh.com/content/Benefits-of-Selling-Digital-Products-Through-Clickbank-System.php

REPLY FROM RYAN: I did a lot with ClickBank 4 and 5 years ago, but the game has changed a lot since then. I’m basically looking for ebooks that cover tips and tricks for getting your product high up in the marketplace so more affiliates find you.

I’m aware of some “black hat” tricks to…dare I say it…”rig” the ClickBank system, so I’m looking for more stuff like that.

For what it’s worth, I got:

    http://www.cbsuccessreport.com (FREE!!)
    http://www.cbstampede.com
    http://cbpayday.com

…and they all look pretty solid.

  41. ISIDRO Says:

i bougth some products using my nickname and i havent recibed my comision yet, i think click bank riip me oof

  42. Jarod Says:

Well, I for one wouldn’t mind if you would publish a cool report, filled with those “blackhat tricks” you are talking about. Why not, I’d say :).

I just know that you can get there without blackhat tricks too. It just takes some more work. And the less you can work on that, the more you can work on creating more products. (and profits of course)

I got one trick for ya that’s kinda blackhat but works perfectly. But you do need to repeat it for every single market you get into. But once you do, you can practically dominate each of them, over-night. Here it goes:

    {{too blackhat to reveal here}}

Pretty cool, huh. Maybe I should write a guide about it myself :). (obviously I realize I didn’t write anything here. But I have to tease you in some way. Heck, you do it all the time with your stuff, Ryan. Only you actually do give some solid information away :))

  43. Peter Says:

Hey Ryan, I heard you last night on the teleseminar call with Daniel Levis. I was looking forward to it all week, and was not disappointed. AMAZING!!! I took 3 pages of notes, but don’t recall Clickbank being mentioned at all. I figured there was a reason you weren’t using Clickbank.

This blog entry was interesting, but it still doesn’t say why you stopped using Clickbank. Granted, things have changed in the last few years since you last used Clickbank, but If you don’t mind my asking, why did you stop using them?

Until yesterday, I was sure Clickbank was the answer to my prayers. Originally it was to be for selling ebooks I’ve just finished writing, then the idea of having affiliates promote it sounded good. I even thought of joining other people’s affiliate programs, but after hearing you speak last night, I’ve decided the way to go is with setting up multiple continuity programs of my own. I noted all of the resources you mentioned in the call (again, noticing that there was no reference to Clickbank). Is Clickbank better for certain niches or circumstances?

  44. Home Business Newsletter Says:

    Good day Ryan,
This is Massimo D’Amico. I made tons of profits just with this one:

    getgoogleadsfree.com
(this is not a blatant affiliate link)

The product rocks a lot and I think there are terrific opportunities to make profits for everyone of us. Internet is a big world!! ;)

If you desire so, give it a try…
