Google Gives Away $250 In Free Advertising

Thu, Jan 22, 2009

moneymachineThis is good news if for some reason you still don’t have your own Google AdWords account…

Google is running one of their promotions where they give new advertisers $250 in ad credits. In other words, you can get $250 in free traffic just for signing up.

I’m sure there are all kinds of fine print and mumbo-jumbo, but I’ve utilized similar offers in the past and they’re legit. If it still seems too good to be true, though, you can CLICK HERE for the Google $250 offer details.

If you’re ready to dive in you can Redeem Your Google Coupon Here or just use the link below:

http://budurl.com/redeem

(And no, that’s not an affiliate link. The real link is long and ugly so I shortened it.)

WARNING: This offer is only available until January 31, 2008! If you’re looking to do some testing with a new product, affiliate offer or whatever here’s your chance to do it on Google’s dime. Take advantage of this while you can because it doesn’t happen very often.

Support Marketers for a Cure

What you’re about to read is very serious, very personal and frankly, very sad.

When my wife was a sophomore in college, she lost her mother to a long-fought battle with ovarian cancer.

This was after losing both of her aunts (her mom’s sisters) to breast cancer just a couple years earlier…

Although Emily and I were only dating at the time, I knew we would one day get married and have kids, and I knew when we did that Emily would miss not having her mom around.

When that day came, and our first child was born, it was one of the happiest days in both of our lives. But at the same time, there were also moments of sadness when we reflected on how much we wish Emily’s mom were around to see her grandchild and give Emily “mom advice”.

So why do I tell you that story?

Why would I drop such an emotional bomb on you on a Saturday morning?

Here’s the deal: Painful as this is to recall, I wanted you to know that cancer has affected me and my family in a very real and personal way.

And with the ever-increasing cancer rates in our society, chances are you have any equally (if not more) sad story to tell.

That’s why I’m writing you this email…

Right now another mother is fighting cancer, and she’s not ready to leave her children:

Normally I don’t mix causes with marketing, but this one struck a chord, and in this fight every little bit helps.

Both Tim and Howie have been friends of mine for years, so I trust them.

And they are willing to trade you some “how to dominate google” videos for your donation…but frankly if that’s the only reason you’re donating I ask that you please reassess your motives.

For what it’s worth, I have made a personal donation well in excess of the “recommended” amount.

Now I’m asking you to do the same.

Please give if you can:

Thanks for your time,

Monetizing Your Blog By Gary Vaynerchuck

This is quite possibly the simplist method I’ve seen for making money with a blog. But be warned, it does involve WORK (or “hustle” as Gary likes to call it) and it does involve picking up a phone and talking to a real-live human being.

I think you can handle it. :)

Dang Good Book: “Personality Not Included”

Tue, Nov 4, 2008

I don’t recommend a lot of books, and that’s not because I don’t read a lot of books.

The fact is, most business books kinda suck and would be better off as 15 - 20 page reports. Personality Not Included is definitely an exception…

The author, Rohit Bhargava, spends the first half of the book explaining the importance of incorporating personality in business. It’s good information, but without the Part 2 of the book it would be “just another business book”.

But in Part 2 he includes exercices and turnkey techniques you can use to actually put his information into action. It’s the kind of thing you’d expect to see in an expensive home-study course!

My advice: Buy this book, read it, and implement the techniques in your own business.

It’ll probably be the best $15.61 investment you make all year…

Ryan Deiss BASHED on the Warrior Forum

Well, it seems my love/hate relationship with the “Warriors” continues… :)

Although I wasn’t personally named, anyone can tell that this post is about me and my Continuity Blueprint training program. Normally I don’t respond to these sorts of things, but I take offense when the word “LIES” gets thrown around.

Watch this video and judge for yourself…

The Death of BlogRush

Thu, Oct 30, 2008

I gotta give props to my buddy John Reese on his decision to shut down BlogRush.

You can get all the details at:

http://www.income.com/blog/2008/10/29/the-death-of-blogrush/

Pardon my crudeness, but it takes balls to risk your own cash and pursue a big project like this.

That being said, it takes MUCH, MUCH bigger balls to make the hard decision to cut your losses and move on.

Only a Grade-A, Status Quo Coward would chastise John or relish in the “failure” of BlogRush, so be on the lookout for “haters” and tell them Ryan Deiss said they’re a “coward”.

Seriously…tell them that.

Are you a marketing PANSY?

I’m soooooooo glad someone finally said this:

CLICK HERE to read the “Pansy Report”…

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…NOTHING ticks me off more than marketers who get offended by marketing.

And as someone who’s been accused of “aggressive marketing” in the past (as if that’s a bad thing) I’m glad someone finally had the GUTS to stand up and say what the rest of  us have been thinking:

Check it out:

http://www.PansyReport.com

NOTE: I realize this post will irritate some folks. Just remember…we’re all marketers here and as long as you disclose what you’re doing there’s NOTHING unethical about the methods this report talks about.
