I tested google buzz and it is just like twitter, but I think google waves going well, this company (google)will never ever stop from creating ideas that will lead to keep their position as godfather of Internet…!!!

@Ryan Deiss, @Kenneth Holland – You are very right here guys. Google either does Google Me right or they are dead. Wave and Buzz were not failures, we all know that. But they were perceived as failures.

Even I, as a Google evangelist will admit that Google can not blow a Google Me. Do it right this time or you can count Google out.

However 3 million US college students return to school this fall to find Buzz and Wave waiting for them in Google Apps. This may in the end be a war for quality users rather than Farmville fan boys.

Before you pronounce Google Buzz a failure, you may want to look into it a bit farther.

Those of us who do more than just aggregate their tweets to Buzz are having tons of success.

Wave, mismarketed. Should have never been marketed as a social platform.

But 3 million college kids are coming back to college with Google Apps as their email and document provider with Wave waiting for them now too. 4 million more outside the US. That is called Growing up Google.

Lastly, The Social Network AKA how Zuckerberg stole Facebook is looking like a real movie, not a hoax.

Could impact FB even more if Zuckerberg is portrayed in a very negative light.

Facebook started out with a “demographic advantage”. They leveraged a user base that was fast and loose with personal information, and let them be their “test team” for how tolerant users would be of various data mining and usability tweaks.

I think Kenneth is right… make the privacy issue super simple, and come up with a privacy “tagline” that just kills facebooks rep.

Of course, the only real problem with that, is that Google is a massive data mining op just like facebook.

As I said on Twitter reply, They basically have to rip off Facebook but be totally open ala Twitter and have a simple privacy policy. Being simplistic here, but that’s it. Make it MUCH more user friendly (I can’t stand FB’s clunky nav) and get ready for a big fight. FB has 500 MILLION users. I don’t care who you are, that will be a very hard nut to crack, but if anyone can do it it’s Google. They can’t half ass it like they have so far. Stop dipping your toe in and swim!
