Google Adds Blog Filter & Helpful Tool
Posted on by Ryan Deiss in Search Engine Optimization
Google just added a new and very important filter to their search home page for Blogs.
After the search results index for your key word, click more on the left column and select ‘Blogs’. At this point you can also select the option to be given the blog’s homepage rather than the particular post url.

If you’re involved in blogging, you probably know that it’s important to network with other bloggers within your niche. While Google’s filter won’t list them all, it’s a great tool use along with others to help identify the people you should be friends with.
Getting in contact with these blogs will present opportunities to increase the reach of your blog and the activity on your blog by getting more comments from another blogs writers and subscribers.
If your involved in seo, you probably know that blog commenting is a key aspect to creating quality back links. Using this blog filter is an effective way to locate blogs and individual posts that would be relevant to the content you’re writing.
This filter won’t tell you which sites are ‘do follow’ blogs, but again you can combine this filter with other browser plugging to find out if the blogs are do follow.
Can you use this simple filter as a helpful tool in your blogging and SEO?

this is such a helpful tool to get in touch with other bloggers. A lot quicker then entering in the ad hoc blog filter text into the search url
