I made this quick video to show you the criteria I use to ensure that I have a rock sold lead magnet that is going to convert and get me a ton of QUALIFIED optins.
Watch the video below to see the 3 step filter that run all of my lead magnets through:

Great video man. When I’m the copywriter creating the squeeze and the product offer, I gotta try and position the copy exactly the way you said. So it’s WAYYY easier when the marketer has planned it that way in advance.

Thanks for the info Ryan.
I hope those 12 at your office learn a lot.
I am coaching people now too. I was lucky enough to be the #1 affiliate for the #1 clickbank product for Mid Feb-Mid March contest.
It was a nice $10k bonus!

As always - great stuff Ryan!
I have so much to thank you for when it come to my Internet career. And I love your videos.

Gabriel here,
Thats a nice way to put things and grow your business.Ryan I thought about giving away a recording in a mp3 format where I told people that if they opt-in they may be eligible to win a mp3 along with my sexy magnet. Not bad hay?
Anyaways Ryan nice content for us to enjoy..pretty simple but very effective..at times people dont have enought time and just throw a bunch of garbage ,and eventually I dont buy nothing so I hear what you are saying loud and clear. Also I wanted to mention that you look a bit tired Ryan so I think is time you take a vacation…no seriously.

Like the idea but not like waiting for video to load. What do you say we connect about using a new compression technology we created to allow true HD video to play instantly upon load up? Here are a couple of examples of video’s we compressed for a low DSl connection. http://www.video.pg1search.com/
We can compress for any connection speed. Let’s also talk about our new HD Live IPTV streaming platform and allow you to be one of our main marketers. Drop me a line over at twitter:iGoXtreme

Sometimes common sense stuff needs to just be clearly spelled out for people. Nice video.
March 20th, 2009 at 10:09 am
Great 5 minute reminder to make the most of your lead generation. Sometimes it can’t be said enough about the planning and eventual outcome that you want. Thanks for the video, Ryan!
March 20th, 2009 at 10:10 am
I sure wish I saw this a lot earlier when I was setting up my squeeze pages. I thought it was just a matter of having a good product that delivers to entice vistors to leave their information. Like showing how to get free targeted traffic like I did here.
http://superiorhomebusinessreviews.biz
Never thought of creating a void.
March 20th, 2009 at 10:10 am
Your video presents a great foundation on how to get leads. Thanks!
March 20th, 2009 at 10:12 am
Very Savvy.
Thanks =)
March 20th, 2009 at 10:22 am
Hi Ryan,
Thank you. Good, clear, simple - and yet a lot in it for me to work at implementing. My site has 2 parts, creative stuff (like spoken word, some of it sexy), and good thinking (including the Cogni Sutra). The big thing for me to learn: how to frame it that they don’t just enjoy but FEEL A VOID, and feel it enough so they opt into the free membership.
So, again, thanks for the clear model - that really pinpoints where we may have a void! Elsa
March 20th, 2009 at 10:26 am
Great vid, Ryan. I appreciate this kind of content, and it’s guys like you who have made me a believer in building customer relationships.
March 20th, 2009 at 10:31 am
Great insights Ryan, that’s delivering value brother. It instantly gives me ideas on using pieces of this product to get those opt ins and fill the gigantic VOID here: http://www.bearealestateheavyweight.com/Heavy_Weight_Authors_Table_of_Contents.pdf
You ROCK brother.

Hey Ryan,
Bryant here from Austin - love the content man. See ya when I get back from Thailand. You guys always deliver - tell Perry hi!

March 20th, 2009 at 10:45 am
Dear Ryan,
I appreciate your emphasis on offering value with the lead magnet. As you say, getting the opt-in isn’t the end goal in itself - it’s the first step in beginning a hopefully long-term relationship.
Of course you need to make it sound sexy to get attention, but you properly emphasize the importance of delivering on promises.
I was also glad to hear you mention Jimmy D Brown. He’s a master of “useful but incomplete”. If somebody wants to see how it’s done they can Google him and check out some of his free reports. Just be prepared to get out your credit card - he gives you great information at the same time he creates a desire for more.
Thanks for posting the video Ryan.
Stay Well,
Joe
March 20th, 2009 at 10:52 am
Did anyone else notice how Ryan’s video which explains how to be sexy, deliver on your promise, and create a void and establish credibility was IN AND OF ITSELF sexy (okay, this is arguable), delivered on its promise [check] created a void [check] and established credibility [check]?
I’m getting a brain jam just thinking about it.
Ryan, you are a super sexy lead magnet. Nice video!
March 20th, 2009 at 11:00 am
Hey Ryan,
Good info to keep in mind when building a squeeze page. My question to you would be how would you create a void in the area of hosting?
I am giving away top, world class hosting for life, for free and looking for a few super affiliates to pay outrageous lifetime residual income to for bringing me a few thousand to tens of thousands of people who want free hosting for life. Where in that kind of offer is the void or how would you go about creating that void?
Thanks

March 20th, 2009 at 11:05 am
Great video Ryan. The concept of “framing the offer” by having the freebie create the void, and then having your product fill it, is incredibly valuable. That’s how you’re going to get targeted prospects with a a high likelihood of buying your product.
Just a suggestion on your videos - they stream very slowly on my computer from Viddler. Maybe try Amazon S3?
Thank you again!
March 20th, 2009 at 11:21 am
Thanks! It’s a great video and very useful way to generate leads!
March 20th, 2009 at 11:25 am
great video, thanks for sharing! I second the comment above from Kurt… why use viddler over amazon s3?
Nicholas
March 20th, 2009 at 11:32 am
Thanks for that great video. As I listened, I realized that this same checklist could be applied to developing your adwords ads. Obviously, if the ad isn’t creating a void that frames the offer, there won’t be any conversions. Duhh!
March 20th, 2009 at 11:33 am
Well delivered video.
Good content… create desire and a void… leading into the framing of the final offer and build credibility.
Sounds familiar?
Good Luck
John
actually the first video on
EASY VIDEO PRODUCER
does all that… and more.
So thanks, it is nice to know we are all on the right track.

Great vid - Ironic too because I just started creating a capture page yesterday based on what I learned in your “Slap Google Back” vid - and some of Eben’s teachings.
I’m gonna go back in and make it more sexier - maybe add some more cleavage.

Good stuff. Any example’s of creating a good void?
March 20th, 2009 at 3:06 pm
Hi Ryan, great video. Very timely for me. Just putting together another lead magnet right now, and will adjust it slightly to cater to your three rules, which make perfect sense. Thanks Aaron

You really nailed it.
As marketer we often just create free
report to build list without making
the best from the list .
This video shows what i personally been missing
i like the word sexy in the context of your
short but valuable video.
March 20th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
Great stuff. Keep the lead generation tips coming!
Also, I notice a lot of comments about the speed of your videos. The video streamed just fine for me but we like to use Amazon S3 when we do our website development tutorial videos for DomainSuperstar.com and we have been very pleased with them.
Thanks! - Joel

Thanks for provide such a good content on this video, it definitely help newbie like me to work on lead magnet.
March 20th, 2009 at 8:45 pm
This is genius. Valuable psychological break-down of the sales process. This helps clarify a lot of my thought process of how lead-gen, and things I’m doing. This is infinitely more valuable than just focusing on gimmicky tricks that most people teach about how to increase opt-ins. Which is worthless IMO, if you don’t get this. I wish more people would share the thinking behind what they do. Thanks for the clarification.
March 20th, 2009 at 9:16 pm
Straight forward and to the point. Ryan great job in breaking down a major problem that a lot of folks struggle with and even better job of putting the message into a clear lesson that we all can apply.
March 20th, 2009 at 10:14 pm
More important then the template or the “lead magnet” is the ability to watch the video. After 30 minutes, I’ve managed to watch about 1/5 of a 5 minute video. Suggest you contact the earlier poster regarding his compression tool. I keep wondering why the gurus’ don’t print their advice. Would definately save me some time.
March 21st, 2009 at 6:20 am
this is very sexy presentation about landing page.
Good stuff.

Killer stuff. Fulfilling promises and expectations… what a concept. Too bad so many miss this. Thanks for giving it the attention it needs. This will help a lot of people.

Excellent value. Some great deep thinking! Really thought-provoking.
Would love to have a few examples of Creating a Void.

ps: took 15 minutes to watch 6 minute video. Painful. Kept stopping to buffer.
March 24th, 2009 at 1:15 pm
Good stuff. Particularly making sure your offer fills a void.
March 25th, 2009 at 1:33 am
I am totally new to all this stuff, I have tried to start my own business before but I have not had much luck due to the fact that I am not good with the computer. I am learning as I go. The information given above was very interesting to the point. Think I get the idea with what you said.
Thanks for the info

Great video and ideas on lead capture page improvements. I’m going to implement this right now on my own LCP!!
September 14th, 2009 at 10:53 pm
Great vid, Ryan!
September 26th, 2009 at 7:47 am
Great video. It seems your lead magnet is as important, even more important than the squeeze page itself, because it can cause more damage if done wrong. I found the point about framing very valuable, as I tend to oversupply with content early on. So, the point is, deliver, but don’t over deliver. How are you testing various lead magnets in your campaigns?
September 28th, 2009 at 4:42 pm
I was so impressed with the content of your video. It got right to the point and told me what I needed to do and how to get qood quality lead traffic. I have been trying to get into the Social Media Market but didn’t know how to get started- THANKS A MILLION
November 5th, 2009 at 5:56 am
Great video. You always make it seem so easy. Although I guess in reality your ideas aren’t so complex. So why didn’t I think of it? :^)
December 31st, 2009 at 4:51 pm
You said something at the 4:25 mark that I will totally live by!! Great video, Ryan.
January 26th, 2010 at 9:24 pm
Very good advice. It so happens that I just created my first squeeze page last night before I saw your video. I would like some feedback since it’s my first. Thanks Ryan. Anyone else please feel free to leave any helpful suggestions. Thanks

Great video Ryan. I love the simple concepts. I’d love to get a URL so we can see one of your lead magnets and get the concepts a little deeper.
March 1st, 2010 at 7:47 pm
I liked what you said, but kind of loses impact when you offer a template that has been pulled.
