Can otherinbox.com clean up my inbox?

Posted on by in Email Marketing

Even though I have a bazillion filters and labels set up in Gmail, my inbox is a MESS. And it’s not the spam that’s overloading me; it’s the bacn (bacon).  It’s the emails from services that I may need, but not stuff I want mixed in with emails from my wife and co- workers.

I recently ran across a new email assistant called otherinbox.com.  And it’s surprisingly…GOOD!

Here’s the breakdown.

Signup with otherinbox.com and they’ll scan the entire existing contents of your email account.  They pull out the stuff that actually has worth and help you sort it with a handy system of categories. These categories get added to your email account as folders. Moving forward you can categorize every email you get to make go into the categories you want.

It also gives you new email address; xxxxx@username.otherinbox.com.  And you can make as many email addresses as you want to help you control the email you get. For example: make an address called amazonorders@username.otherinbox.com. This way all the emails you get from amazon.com will go into a special folder for that email.

In the end you get an inbox that only has the really important stuff.  And you also know where to find the emails you need ‘just in case’.

I’m going to give it a fair shot to see if this solution can really keep up with the massive amount of email I receive each day.

Yeah, I’m crazy for those ‘just in case’ emails and really hate to let them go. Nice recommendation. Thanks.
