Affiliate Tool With Conversion Tracking And Link Shortening
Posted on by Ryan Deiss in Conversion Optimization, Marketing Tips
I ran across this tool the other day and I think it’s definitely worth a mention for all you affiliates out there. As someone who has done my fair share of affiliate promotions, I know the hurdles and frustrations that go along with it. LinkShiftr is offering some really helpful solutions.
As part of their free version they provide link shortening on ‘roids’. Create a shortened link and then have the ability to rotate it between multiple URL destinations. This way you only need a single shortened URL to control your entire Affiliate campaign.
This is cool for a few reasons. 1- Link-shortening allows you to promote easily through twitter without exceeding the character limit. 2- If you have multiple URL destinations that each have different components (i.e.video, image, graph), you can split test the pages by setting the rotation of the pages.
The most useful tool with LinkShiftr is the option to track conversions. Most of us are stuck waiting to hear back from the person we’re promoting for to get conversion results and earnings per click. LinkShiftr’s Pro Version actually allows you to track all of your clicks and conversions. This not only allows you to get quicker reporting, but it gives you the opportunity to track your split testing and tweak your promotion efforts.
The Pro version is only $9.99 a month, so it’s a really risk averse option for your next affiliate promotion.
p.s. I haven’t used this yet, but I plan on it. If you beat me to it or have already used it, let me know what you think about it. Comment below.
