Active vs. Passive Affiliate Promotions

Posted on by in Email Marketing, Home Based Business

If you’ve found it difficult to recruit affiliates because you’re not a “big name” in your market, this video may help.

In it I talk about the difference between Active and Passive Affiliate Promotions, and why you should focus on one and not the other:

NOTE: Check out Traffic Fusion if you’re looking for a way to automate the passive affiliate promotion model…

Another great video Ryan and people should learn as much from the techniques you employ as the actual content. I really have learned a lot from you over several visits to your site. You come across as a genuine person. Others feel you are trying to sell products – but, hey, you are in business to do so. There are ways of doing things and, in my mind, you HAVE the correct way.

I dont know if your readers are aware but these techniques are ancient.
Just about every thank you page has an offer (bonus or other). Fusion marketing, crosspromotion integration marketing…its basically all the same. Doesnt he have anything new to offer. I remember a couple of years ago when rich schefren or mike filsaime was trying to sell “tell a friend” scripts as something new and expensive, when they had already been around for ages. Wake up people.

    Hi Ryan,

    Thanks for sharing that.

I guess a lot of us have always focused on the active side of affiliate promtion, just like you said.

I have been using the passive approach to market my products as well, but not to the extent that I have always wanted to. So I will definitely work hard doing that.

Thanks again for the nice video.

    Cheers,
    Welly Mulia

I am not a fan of Mike Filsaine, just don’t like his agressive style of marketing, and the way he “steals”other people concepts ( in this case Mark Joyner’s). Have you seen the so called “secret page” for his better affiliates, where he “gives” away one of his older products as a bonus and tries to upsell you with the two others + the much to expensive traffic fusion.

I guess this is a way to expensive product without a real value and you will soon see some cheaper versions appearing all over the net for those who need it.

I much prefer people like you, and the video you did above is a clever way to promote someone else product. I think you deliver much better content than Mike. Anyhow I did not promote this product to my list, it would be cutting my throat !

you are starting to realise what can be done.. welcome to the 2nd level.. but ask yourself why people like Apple and Nike don’t have to play games to get affiliates..

    Ryan,

You definitely caught me looking by not mentioning Filsaime’s name, or his language until the end.

I am not interested in what he is selling, but will go watch the video you mention as ou are making a good pitch for it.

    Onward and upward,
    Ken

    Hi.
Just to tell you that this is a terrific traffic video that you do. As you may think, i’m on all the internet marketing lists out there. So impossible for me to not heard about hyper java launch these days. So, i didn’t even lose my time openning email of others marketing guys with hyperjava in object. But your strategy is just awsome ans i openned your email and listen all the video: you got my attention. For other reasons, i’m not a HJ buyer, but I hope it works for you.
